The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) will organize a Unity Run at Electronics Niketan, New Delhi, on October 31, 2026, to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary and conclude Special Campaign 6.0. The program aims to promote cleanliness, efficient government resource management, and year-round adoption of Swachhata practices.

Special Campaign 6.0 was conducted from October 2 to October 31, 2026, focusing on disposal of pending references, scientific management of electronic waste, scrap disposal, review of physical and electronic records, cleanliness and space management, and simplification of rules and administrative processes. MeitY Headquarters and all associated organizations including field and outstation offices participated in the campaign, with emphasis on cleanliness in public-facing offices, scientific disposal of scrap and e-waste, sensitization of officials, and institutionalization of Swachhata practices beyond the campaign period.

The October 31 program will include administration of the Swachhata pledge, the Unity Run, and recognition of organizations that demonstrated commendable performance during the previous campaign. Safai Mitras will be felicitated for their contributions to maintaining cleanliness, with officials and staff of MeitY organizations in Delhi expected to participate in the Unity Run.

The Unity Run forms part of the seventh edition of the Fit India Freedom Run 2026, observed nationwide from October 2 to 31 with the message "Fitness Ke Dose, Aadha Ghanta Roz," encouraging citizens to undertake at least 30 minutes of physical activity daily. The nationwide initiative began with a Plog Run on Gandhi Jayanti and concludes with the Unity Run on October 31. Through these initiatives, MeitY aims to reinforce the importance of cleanliness, fitness, administrative efficiency, and collective responsibility among government officials and staff.
