The Union Home Secretary chaired a high-level review meeting on June 15, 2026, to assess security and logistical preparedness for the NEET(UG) Re-examination 2026. The meeting focused specifically on student convenience, security arrangements, and maintaining the integrity of the examination process. Senior officials from multiple government departments participated, including the Chairman of the Railway Board; Secretaries from the Department of School Education and Literacy, Department of Higher Education, and Department of Posts; Director Generals of CRPF, CISF, BCAS, and NTA; and senior officers from the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

The Union Home Secretary directed all State Governments/Union Territories and Central agencies to ensure strict adherence to security protocols and conduct the examination in a flawless manner. States/UTs were specifically requested to facilitate smooth travel for students appearing for the exam. The Chairman of the Railway Board provided assurances of full cooperation to support student transportation needs during the examination period.
