Union Minister of Coal and Mines Shri G. Kishan Reddy launched the Commercialisation Catalogue of Technologies developed under the Science & Technology Programme of the Ministry of Mines, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and Department of Science and Technology (DST), along with industry-sponsored programmes. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between research and industry by systematically documenting, showcasing, and promoting indigenous technologies developed through publicly funded research and industry-supported projects.

The Catalogue serves as a common platform connecting technology developers, research institutions, laboratories, start-ups, MSMEs, and industries, facilitating technology transfer, licensing, and commercialisation. It addresses the dispersion of valuable technological outcomes—including innovative processes, prototypes, pilot-scale technologies, patents, and commercially relevant solutions—by creating a single, accessible repository of verified technical information for industries and prospective technology adopters.

To support this initiative, the Ministry is seeking standardised and verified technical inputs from Principal Investigators, Co-Principal Investigators, implementing institutions, and technology developers through the SATYABHAMA Portal (https://research.mines.gov.in/). The submitted information will be used for technology outcome assessment, technical detail validation, preparation of technology profiles, and identification of technologies with commercialisation potential. This represents a significant step toward building a technology-driven, industry-oriented innovation ecosystem in India, ensuring research outcomes translate into practical industrial solutions and economic value.
