The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs is organizing the Prize Distribution Function of the 36th National Youth Parliament Competition, 2025-26 for Kendriya Vidyalayas on June 25, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium, Parliament Library Building, New Delhi. Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Law and Justice and Minister of State of Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, will preside over the function and distribute prizes to winning students and schools.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad Kendriya Vidyalaya, President Estate, New Delhi (Delhi Region, North Zone) won first place at the national level and will receive the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Running Parliamentary Shield and Trophy. This school will also stage a repeat performance of their Youth Parliament Sitting during the ceremony. The competition involved 200 Kendriya Vidyalayas spread across 25 regions of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan throughout India.

Four zonal winners were recognized: Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mathura Cantt., Mathura, Uttar Pradesh (West Zone); PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Madurai, Tamil Nadu (South Zone); PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh (Central Zone); and PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Air Force Station, Borjhar Guwahati, Assam (East Zone). Additionally, 20 regional winners were announced from various Kendriya Vidyalayas across different regions including Jammu, Chandigarh, Gurgaon, Dehradun, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Mumbai, Ranchi, Jabalpur, Ernakulam, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Patna, Raipur, Varanasi, Tinsukia, Kolkata, Silchar, and Bhubaneswar.

The Youth Parliament Scheme, which has been organized for 38 years, aims to inculcate democratic values among young generations, including self-discipline, tolerance of diverse opinions, righteous expression of views, and familiarity with parliamentary practices and procedures. The program also focuses on developing leadership qualities, self-confidence, and effective oratory skills among students.
