The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has established National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) Sewa Kendras, which are e-Facilitation Centres, in 22 Legislative Houses as part of the digital governance initiative. Under the Capacity Building component of the NeVA project, comprehensive orientation workshops and handholding support are provided to stakeholders of all onboarded Legislatures to familiarize them with NeVA functionalities. Recently, the Ministry delivered a session on NeVA to newly elected Members of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly in Kolkata on July 4, 2026.
The NeVA Public Portal, available in 23 languages, provides citizens with online access to legislative business including Bills, Questions, Proceedings, and other legislative documents from Legislatures onboarded on the NeVA platform. The multilingual support enables widespread public access to legislative information through this digital portal.
This information was formally provided by the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Law and Justice and Minister of State of Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, in a written reply presented in the Lok Sabha on July 22, 2026.
