The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uikey informed Rajya Sabha about the implementation of Medha AI digital platform across all functional Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs). The cloud-based platform was introduced as a two-year program effective from June 22, 2026, and can be accessed from any location with internet connectivity.
The platform is designed to help teachers prepare lesson plans, presentations, assessments, question banks, and other teaching materials more efficiently. For students, it provides personalized learning support, practice exercises, doubt-solving tools, and language learning activities. All EMRS principals across the country, including those in Himachal Pradesh, have been empowered to avail requisite internet connectivity in their schools.
A training module has been designed and circulated among EMRS teachers to facilitate implementation of the AI-enabled academic support system. The announcement was made as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiatives and was released through PIB Delhi on July 22, 2026.
