The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs launched an upgraded version of the National Youth Parliament Scheme (NYPS) web portal, known as NYPS 2.0, on September 11, 2024. Unlike the previous version limited to students of recognized institutions, NYPS 2.0 is open to all educational institutions, groups, and citizens across the country.

Since its launch through July 21, 2026, the portal has recorded substantial nationwide participation with a total of 5,416 institutional registrations, 714 group registrations, and 50,668 individual registrations across all states and union territories.

Madhya Pradesh recorded the highest individual registrations at 13,404, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 5,437 and Delhi with 3,204 individual registrations. Other states with significant individual participation include Uttarakhand (548 institutional, 32 group, 548 individual), Himachal Pradesh (758 institutional, 28 group, 1,013 individual), and Jammu & Kashmir (480 institutional, 24 group, 3,391 individual).

States with the lowest participation include Lakshadweep (2 institutional, 0 group, 1 individual), Ladakh (4 institutional, 0 group, 15 individual), and Mizoram (10 institutional, 0 group, 20 individual). The data shows widespread but uneven participation across different regions of the country.
