Rice area decreased by 1.63 lakh hectares while pulses increased by 1.26 lakh hectares year-over-year.
Oilseeds showed significant growth with 1.50 lakh hectare increase, led by groundnut expansion of 1.31 lakh hectares.
Coarse cereals including maize increased by 0.97 lakh hectares compared to corresponding period last year.
