The Ministry of Ayush has launched a 'Yoga for Unity' campaign on National Unity Day 2026, commemorating the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The initiative aims to highlight yoga's role in fostering national integration, social harmony, and collective well-being, integrated with the existing Yoga 365 program that encourages daily yoga practice throughout the year.

The campaign emphasizes making yoga an integral part of daily lives while strengthening community bonds and shared responsibility toward health. The Ministry is directing its Yoga and Naturopathy institutions across India to undertake activities that promote wider public participation and community engagement with yoga practices.

Union Minister Shri Prataprao Jadhav stated that yoga brings people together beyond differences of age, region, and background, promoting both physical and mental well-being. Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha emphasized that yoga offers accessible means of improving well-being while fostering community connections, with the Yoga 365 initiative making preventive healthcare part of everyday life.

The campaign underscores that yoga is not limited to specific occasions but should be adopted as sustainable daily practice. Collective yoga sessions and public participation are intended to connect national unity with preventive healthcare and healthy living practices across communities nationwide.
