The Ministry of Culture successfully concluded the Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign with a special Tiranga Concert at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, dedicated to 150 years of Vande Mataram. The concert featured renowned singer B Praak who performed popular songs including "Teri Mitti," and was preceded by a performance by young singer Manya Tripathi. The event witnessed participation from more than 1,000 school students from across Delhi and over 7,000 attendees who registered online in advance.
The Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign ran from 9 to 17 August and involved nationwide participation through Tiranga Yatras, cultural programmes, exhibitions, community events, and digital initiatives. A key metric of public participation was the Selfie with Tiranga campaign, which recorded 8.27 crore selfies uploaded on the Har Ghar Tiranga portal, surpassing last year's record of 7.5 crore selfies.
Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat addressed the gathering, emphasizing that the Tiranga represents the collective aspirations, sacrifices, and achievements of the nation and highlighted the special significance of commemorating 150 years of Vande Mataram. The concert was also attended by Secretary, Ministry of Culture Vivek Aggarwal and other dignitaries. The campaign saw participation across states and union territories involving central and state government departments, local bodies, educational institutions, Armed Forces, public sector organizations, civil society groups, and citizens.
