Ministry of Culture Details Classical Arts Promotion in Schools

The Ministry of Culture promotes classical arts in schools through autonomous bodies like Kalakshetra Foundation and Sangeet Natak Akademi, as part of the National Education Policy 2020.
The Sangeet Natak Akademi has initiated 90 training programs for dying art forms, providing monthly stipends to Gurus and trainees.
Government grants to cultural bodies have increased, with Sangeet Natak Akademi receiving the highest funding of ₹120.99 crore in 2024-25.
