The Ministry of Culture organized the nationwide 'Seva Hi Sanskriti' initiative from September 17 to 24, 2026, as part of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026'. The program aimed to promote service spirit, cleanliness, cultural awareness, and public participation in nation-building through various cultural and cleanliness activities.

The initiative featured activities organized around themes of 'Heritage and Development' and 'A New Story of Cleanliness', including street plays, art performances, rangoli-making, and collective singing. More than 270 activities were conducted across the country, with a special focus on cleanliness drives at government office complexes, cultural sites, and heritage locations. The programs were organized at various public spaces including schools, colleges, parks, markets, temples, and ghats.

The initiative received support from major cultural institutions including Sangeet Natak Akademi, Lalit Kala Akademi, National School of Drama (NSD), and all seven Zonal Cultural Centres: North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), East Zone Cultural Centre (EZCC), West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC), South Zone Cultural Centre (SZCC), South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC), and North Central Zone Cultural Centre (NCZCC).

The campaign achieved significant public participation with over 2 lakh people involved nationwide. Through street plays and cultural performances, the initiative highlighted India's cultural achievements and promoted messages of social responsibility. The program specifically targeted young people and students to strengthen the spirit of service and commitment to nation-building, emphasizing that caring for cultural heritage and maintaining clean public spaces constitute important forms of national service.
