Ministry of Finance Launches Nationwide Financial Inclusion Saturation Campaign

The Department of Financial Services (DFS) under the Ministry of Finance is organizing a nationwide saturation campaign for Financial Inclusion (FI) schemes and key interventions at the Gram Panchayat and Urban Local Body level. The campaign will run from October 21, 2026, to December 31, 2026, covering 2.70 lakh Gram Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies across the country.

During this period, banks will conduct extensive camps for multiple financial activities including enrollments under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY). The camps will also facilitate Aadhaar seeding in PMJJBY and PMSBY policies, opening of new PMJDY accounts, and re-KYC procedures for existing PMJDY and other savings accounts.

Additional activities include generating C-KYC IDs where pending, updating nominations in savings accounts and other facilities like lockers, and conducting awareness sessions on FI schemes, digital frauds, and the 'Aapki Poonji, Aapka Adhikar' initiative regarding unclaimed financial assets. The campaign will also source Kisan Credit Card (KCC) applications to support saturation of eligible PM-Kisan beneficiaries and facilitate enrollment under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for the upcoming Rabi season to support KCC account saturation.

The campaign reflects the government's commitment to empowering citizens at the last mile and building a more inclusive society by bringing them into the formal financial system. A preparatory meeting with senior management of Banks and State Level Bankers' Committees was held under the chairmanship of JS(FI), DFS. The progress under the campaign will be closely monitored by key stakeholders including State administration, Banks, and the Department of Financial Services.
