The Ministry of Food Processing Industries is currently implementing Special Campaign 6 from October 2 to October 31, 2026, with a primary focus on institutionalizing cleanliness standards, improving records management systems, promoting efficient disposal of pending matters, and ensuring optimal utilization of office space. The campaign involves targeted action on identifying and disposing of pending references from multiple sources including Members of Parliament, State Governments, Inter-Ministerial references, Parliamentary Assurances, PMO references, Public Grievances, and grievance appeals.

The initiative also strengthens record management through comprehensive review, categorization, recording, and weeding out of physical records along with closure of e-files in accordance with existing Government guidelines. As part of the cleanliness drive, the Ministry has constructed a new toilet and arranged beautification activities for office premises. The campaign has generated revenue of ₹64,573 (Rupees Sixty Four Thousand Five Hundred Seventy Three) through scrap disposal activities and identified more than one hundred physical and e-files for review. Systematic record management and removal of unused materials are expected to free up office space.

Progress is being regularly reviewed by Senior Officers and monitored through the designated SCDPM portal. The Ministry, along with its Institutes, plans to intensify efforts during the remaining campaign period to achieve identified targets and ensure that principles of cleanliness, efficiency, and good governance become integrated into day-to-day functioning.
