The Ministry of Heavy Industries has reported significant achievements from its nationwide cleanliness campaigns conducted under the Swachhata initiative. Between December 2025 and August 2026, the Ministry undertook 456 cleanliness campaigns that resulted in the weeding out of 6,115 files, freeing up approximately 6.14 lakh square feet of office space, and generating approximately ₹60.34 crore in revenue through scrap disposal. These initiatives have enhanced workplace efficiency and optimized space utilization.

During the Special Campaign 5.0 from October 2 to October 31, 2025, the Ministry along with its Central Public Sector Enterprises and Autonomous Bodies secured 6th position in revenue generation by generating ₹9.88 crores through scrap disposal and 2nd position in space freed, repurposing 44.44 lakh square feet for new office areas, meeting halls, libraries, and leisure rooms.

The Ministry is preparing for the upcoming Special Campaign 6.0 scheduled from October 2 to October 31, 2026, and is finalizing locations to achieve the campaign's objectives. The Ministry and its entities also observed Swachhata Pakhwada from August 16 to August 30, 2026, organizing awareness programs to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and sustainable living practices.

Currently, the Ministry is participating in the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign from September 17 to October 2, 2026, with the theme "Swachhata Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat." The campaign focuses on key areas including Transformation of Cleanliness Target Units and Clean Public Places, Swachh Paathshala: Yuva for Swachhata, Safai Mitra Suraksha Evam Samman Shivir, Jan Bhagidari for Swachhata, and Swachhata se Samriddhi.
