The Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, in collaboration with its attached/subordinate offices and PSUs, will actively participate in Special Campaign 6 from October 2 to October 31, 2026. The campaign aims to institutionalize Swachhata (cleanliness) and reduce pendency in government offices through a two-phase approach: a preparatory phase from September 15-30, 2026, followed by an implementation phase from October 2-31, 2026.
This year's campaign places special emphasis on effective collection, segregation, and disposal of e-waste in strict adherence to the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022. Additionally, the drive will ensure timely clearance of various pending matters including MP's References, References from State Governments, Inter-Ministerial communications, Parliamentary Assurances, PMO references, Public Grievances, and PG Appeals through the CPGRAMS system.
Aligned with the vision for a Swachh Bharat and enhancing public experience with government offices, the campaign will particularly focus on field/outstation offices responsible for service delivery. Organizations including CPWD and NBCC have confirmed full cooperation for outdoor cleanliness drives, building facelifts, and e-waste management awareness activities as part of this initiative.
