National Panchayat Awards 2025 distribution ceremony to be held on Wednesday, 3 June 2026 in New Delhi
42 outstanding panchayats from across the country will receive awards
Awards to be presented by:
Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, Union Minister of Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying
Prof. SP Singh Baghel, Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj
Previous awards distributed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 24 April 2025 for three special categories
Current ceremony includes remaining categories of NPA-2025:
34 Gram Panchayats under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Sustainable Development Award category
8 Panchayats under Nanaji Deshmukh Best Panchayat Sustainable Development Award category
Event will feature release of:
An e-book documenting the works and best practices of award-winning panchayats
A compilation on best practices for strengthening Panchayati Raj institutions across the country
Two special sessions will be held before the award ceremony where heads of award-winning panchayats will present their best practices and achievements
Senior officials from Government of India and elected representatives of Panchayati Raj institutions from various states and union territories will be present
Ministry Secretary Shri Vivek Bharadwaj will attend the event
