The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs successfully concluded its participation in Special Campaign 6.0, which ran from October 2 to October 31, 2026. The campaign focused on institutionalizing Swachhata (cleanliness), minimizing pendency, and promoting efficient administrative practices through systematic record management and digital governance initiatives.
In record management, the Ministry reviewed 134 physical files, of which 58 were identified for weeding out and successfully disposed. Additionally, 200 e-files were reviewed with 117 e-files closed, contributing to streamlined administrative processes and reduced paperwork.
The cleanliness and workplace improvement component emphasized maintaining clean, organized offices as part of routine functioning. Senior officers, including the Secretary and Additional Secretary, conducted inspections to assess sanitation and cleanliness standards across all sections and offices of the Ministry.
Digital governance was promoted through various e-platforms including e-Office, e-HRMS, Consultative Committee Management System, Sub-ordinate Legislation Management System, National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA), OAMS, and the National Youth Parliament Portal. These platforms support paperless functioning, reduce physical record dependence, and enhance transparency. NeVA specifically enables paperless operations in State Legislatures, supporting environmentally sustainable governance.
The campaign, steered by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), aimed to improve administrative efficiency and institutionalize Swachhata across government offices. The Ministry has committed to sustaining these efforts beyond the campaign period by integrating cleanliness, efficiency, and sustainable practices into daily operations.
