The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs successfully concluded its Hindi Pakhwada (Hindi Fortnight) celebration from September 14 to September 30, 2026. The event began on Hindi Diwas (September 14, 2026) with a felicitation message from the Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs. During the fortnight, the ministry organized various competitions including Hindi typing, Hindi dictation, quizzes, Hindi noting and drafting, translation, and essay/poetry writing, with active participation from officials.
At the closing ceremony on September 30, 2026, Additional Secretary Dr. Satya Prakash motivated employees to conduct official tasks in Hindi and emphasized that efforts to work in Hindi should continue throughout the year, not just during the Hindi Fortnight. Secretary Shri Nikunj Bihari Dhal stated that the government's policy aims to connect Hindi with the mainstream of governance, administration, science, and modern technology, while urging officials to use simple and comprehensible Hindi for greater effectiveness.
During the ceremony, the Secretary released a Hindi e-magazine named 'Sansadiya Sarita' featuring creative works by the ministry's staff, which has been published on the ministry's official website.
