The Ministry of Steel and its Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) are actively participating in the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 6, which runs from October 2 to October 31, 2026. The campaign follows a completed preparatory phase that occurred from September 15 to September 30, 2026, during which the Ministry and its CPSEs finalized preparations and established specific targets for the implementation phase.

During the implementation phase, the Ministry and its CPSEs will focus on multiple key activities: conducting 301 cleanliness activities across various offices and locations, disposing of 20,763 physical files and 9,056 e-files, and specifically addressing the disposal of 37 pending public grievances with the objective of reducing pendency to zero. The campaign emphasizes timely disposal of various pending matters, including references from Members of Parliament, the Prime Minister's Office, VIPs, Cabinet, and State Governments. Additional focus areas include cleanliness initiatives, proper record management, and optimized use of office space.

Through SCDPM 6, the Ministry of Steel and its CPSEs aim to achieve reduced pendency rates, faster disposal of matters, improved service delivery, and the maintenance of clean and efficient working environments throughout their operations.
