The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is organizing the 94th edition of Fit India Sundays on Cycle in Varanasi on October 11, 2026, from 6:00 AM onwards. The event will take place along the route from Namo Ghat to Diksha Mandap at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, centered on the theme "Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat" which promotes a drug-free youth for developed India.

Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, who holds portfolios of Youth Affairs and Sports and Labour and Employment, will serve as the Chief Guest for the event. The program will feature Asian Games medalists including Prachi Chaudhary (bronze in women's 400m), Parul Chaudhary (two bronze medals in women's 3000m steeplechase and 5000m), Jay Kumar (silver in mixed 4x400m relay and bronze in men's 4x400m relay), and Raj Kumar Pal (gold medal as part of the hockey team).

The event includes fitness activities at Namo Ghat such as yoga sessions, Zumba, fun games, and interactive activities aimed at promoting cycling as a simple and accessible form of physical activity. The initiative is organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with the Cycling Federation of India, Raahgiri Foundation, and MY Bharat, and is conducted simultaneously across all States and Union Territories through SAI Regional Centres, National Centres of Excellence, SAI Training Centres, Khelo India State Centres of Excellence, and Khelo India Centres. Over 6,000 NAMO Fit India Clubs organize the cycling initiative nationwide every week as part of the broader Fit India Movement.
