Ministry of Women and Child Development deployed Poshan Tracker app for real-time Anganwadi Services monitoring and Face Recognition System (FRS) to prevent benefit leakage.
FRS was piloted in 6 states in August 2024 and rolled out nationwide in December 2024, identifying 47.8 million beneficiaries for THR distribution by February 2026.
The system achieved 97.01% successful e-KYC and face matching completion rate while implementing six specific data encryption and privacy protection measures.
Over 45,500 State Level Master Trainers were trained across two rounds to support Anganwadi Workers in FRS implementation and Poshan Tracker usage.
