The Ministry of Textiles announced the reopening of the application portal for the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles under Round 4 from November 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. The scheme aims to promote manufacturing of Man-Made Fibre (MMF) Apparel, MMF Fabrics and Technical Textiles, enhance domestic manufacturing capabilities, attract investment, generate employment and strengthen India's position in global textile value chains.

Key modifications to the scheme include a reduction in the minimum turnover requirement from ₹200 crore to ₹100 crore under Part 2 category, specifically designed to enable greater participation by MSMEs and mid-sized manufacturing units. The scheme tenure has been extended up to Financial Year 2033–34 exclusively for applicants approved under Round 4, providing them with a longer investment and operational horizon for establishing and scaling up manufacturing capacities.

Additionally, all existing participant companies from Round 1, 2 & 3 that have not claimed or received any incentive so far are eligible to migrate under Round 4, subject to withdrawal of their existing applications. The online application portal https://pli.texmin.gov.in will remain open during the specified period, and eligible companies are encouraged to submit applications in accordance with the applicable scheme guidelines.
