Mizoram and Ladakh Sign Jal Jeevan Mission Reform MoUs

Mizoram and Ladakh signed reform-linked MoUs with the Union Government for sustainable rural drinking water service delivery under Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0.
Mizoram reported 99% physical progress with 133,060 rural households provided FHTCs, while Ladakh achieved 98.18% FHTC coverage.
The MoUs mandate Gram Panchayat-led governance, community participation, and structural reforms for operation and maintenance sustainability.
Union Minister C.R. Patil emphasized achieving 'Har Ghar Jal' by 2028 and urged convergence with MGNREGA for water conservation.
