The Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) and its institutes reported significant achievements under the fifth edition of the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM 5.0), conducted between December 2025 and August 2026. The campaign focused on institutionalizing Swachhata (cleanliness), space optimization, scrap disposal, revenue generation, and grievance redressal across the ministry's 10 offices and institutes.
As part of the initiative, the ministry conducted 20 cleanliness drives that resulted in the freeing up of 54,815 square feet of office space for more productive use. The scrap and waste disposal initiatives generated cumulative revenue of ₹1.57 crore for the exchequer. The ministry also systematically weeded files, closing 750 physical files and 177 e-files to streamline office documentation and promote digital transition.
The ministry demonstrated high responsiveness in addressing various administrative matters, successfully resolving one Parliamentary Assurance, 17 references from the PMO, 37 references from MPs, and 304 public grievances. All Inter-Ministerial Consultation References (Cabinet Proposals) and Public Grievance Appeals were resolved, achieving a 100% addressal rate. The Ministry of Earth Sciences remains committed to enhancing administrative transparency, bureaucratic efficiency, and maintaining a clean, green, and citizen-centric work environment across all its offices and institutes.
