The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) has made significant progress in implementing Special Campaign 6, which focuses on Swachhata, digital transformation, and good governance. The campaign has achieved substantial results across multiple parameters, including the disposal of e-waste and scrap, effective records management, space optimization, and expeditious grievance redressal.

As part of the campaign implementation, 173 cleanliness campaigns have been conducted across the ministry and its organizations. The records management effort has resulted in the review of 33,199 physical and e-files, with 9,808 files being closed or weeded out. The disposal of scrap and e-waste has generated revenue worth ₹9.79 crores, while space optimization efforts have freed 88,171 square feet of office space, leading to improved office space management and environmentally friendly workspace and surroundings.

A notable best practice highlighted during Special Campaign 6 is the transformation of Kumartuli Ghat by Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (SMPK) in collaboration with Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ). This initiative aims to transform the previously dilapidated ghat into an inclusive, clean, and sustainable public space, demonstrating the campaign's emphasis on public space rejuvenation and community welfare.

Senior officers of the Ministry have actively participated in Swachhata-related activities, setting examples through direct involvement in cleanliness drives, beautification of office premises, and improvement of surrounding areas. The participation of officers and staff has reinforced the importance of cleanliness, workplace discipline, and collective responsibility in institutionalizing Swachhata across the Ministry and its organizations.
