The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) with Grassroots Research And Advocacy Movement (GRAAM) on June 25, 2026, for the engagement of two fellows under the Embark India Development Fellowship Proposal. The signing ceremony was attended by Shri P. R. Meshram, Director General (Data Governance) of MoSPI, with the document being signed by Dr. Basavaraju R. Shreshta, Executive Director of GRAAM, and Sh. Prasoon Verma, Director of the Training Unit in the Capacity Development Division of MoSPI.
This collaborative initiative establishes a practical platform between MoSPI and GRAAM where highly motivated, research-driven individuals will work alongside the Ministry. The fellows will support ongoing or new initiatives within the ministry, contribute to developing innovative solutions through research, and help address critical development, capacity building, and governance challenges with rigor and innovation. The program aims to leverage the fellows' skills for the benefit of the Ministry while simultaneously providing the fellows with practical experience in public policy and governance.
