The National Statistics Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pahle India Foundation (PIF), New Delhi on October 8, 2026, to strengthen collaboration in official statistics, research, and data analysis.
The MoU establishes a broad framework for collaboration between the two organizations in areas of mutual interest, including research, data analysis, capacity building, and knowledge sharing. Specific collaborative activities will be undertaken based on the priorities of MoSPI. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials including Dr. Saurabh Garg (Secretary, MoSPI), Shri P. R. Meshram (Director General, MoSPI), Dr. Rajiv Kumar (Chairperson, PIF), and Shri Ashish Kumar (Chief Statistician, PIF). The actual signing was performed by Ms. Sunitha Bhaskar (Additional Director General, MoSPI) and Mr. Ravi Pokharna (Executive Director, Pahle India Foundation).
