The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) is preparing to launch Special Campaign 6 from October 2-31, 2026, with preparatory activities running from September 15-30, 2026. The campaign focuses on institutionalizing cleanliness in government offices, disposal of pending references, efficient record management, e-waste management according to E-Waste Management Rules, 2022, effective space utilization, and workplace experience enhancement.
This follows the successful implementation of Special Campaign 5.0, during which MSDE conducted more than 1,836 cleanliness drives across its offices and institutions. The ministry disposed of 3 references from Members of Parliament, 7 Parliament Assurances, 307 Public Grievances, and 27 Public Grievance Appeals. In record management, 1,250 files were reviewed with 466 files weeded out, while 658 e-files were reviewed resulting in 266 e-files being closed.
These efforts resulted in freeing approximately 4,000 square feet of office space through file weeding and scrap disposal. The scrap disposal generated revenue of approximately ₹7.58 lakh. The campaign contributed to creating cleaner and more efficient workplaces, improving record management, optimizing office space, and strengthening awareness about maintaining clean office environments and responsible waste disposal.
For Special Campaign 6, MSDE is coordinating with nodal officers and stakeholders of its attached, subordinate, and autonomous organizations and field institutions. Nodal officers are being sensitized about the key focus areas including cleanliness, disposal of pending references, efficient record management, e-waste management, space management, and workplace experience enhancement. The ministry aims to carry forward the momentum from Special Campaign 5.0 through sustainable cleanliness practices, effective pendency disposal, responsible e-waste management, and creation of cleaner, more efficient workspaces.
