Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi and Bihar Chief Minister Shri Samrat Choudhary will jointly lay the foundation stone for the Technology Centre at Khizarsarai, Gaya Ji, Bihar on June 15, 2026. The ceremony will commence with a traditional Bhoomi Pujan (Ground Breaking Ceremony), with senior officials from both the Ministry of MSME and Government of Bihar in attendance.
The Technology Centre represents a significant infrastructure investment with total project cost of ₹170 crore, comprising approximately ₹86 crore for civil works and ₹84 crore for plant and machinery. The centre will be developed on a 20-acre plot provided by the State Government with a built-up area of approximately 16,800 square metres. The facility will include a Production Block, Training Block, Utility Block, Administrative Block, Multipurpose Hall, Hostel, and Staff Accommodation.
The centre will cater to focus sectors of General Engineering, Heavy Engineering and Textile Testing, serving MSMEs across six districts: Gaya Ji, Aurangabad, Nawada, Nalanda, Jehanabad, and Munger. Services offered will include production facilities for tool room operations (moulds, dies, jigs, and fixtures), CNC machining services, CAD/CAM/CAE facilities, rapid prototyping, Industry 4.0 lab, and renewable energy systems/solutions. The centre will also provide industry-relevant training programs in emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Data Analytics, and Quality Control, along with business development and advisory services covering market research, regulatory compliance, supply chain management, and innovation incubation.
The expected impact includes training 7,000 trainees annually through short-term and long-term industry-oriented programs aligned with current and emerging industry requirements. The centre aims to support more than 1,000 local MSMEs annually in tooling activities and job work, serving as a major catalyst for industrial growth in southern Bihar by bridging technology gaps and integrating local MSMEs with global supply chains.
