Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) has invited applications for August-September term under its Internship Programme
Applications must be submitted online through Internship Programme portal: http://wcd.intern.nic.in/
Programme is open to women students, scholars, social activists and teachers enrolled in or associated with any university, academic or non-academic institution
Eligibility criteria: Women candidates in age group of 21-40 years
Eligibility criteria: Candidates must be from non-tier-I cities and rural areas of India
Internship Programme is conducted in four terms during financial year: May-June, August-September, November-December and February-March
Each term duration: two months
Application acceptance period: two months prior to commencement of each term, between 1st and 10th of the month
Selection rule: Candidates selected once are not eligible to apply for subsequent terms
Programme objective: Orient participants with policies and programmes of the Ministry
Intern activities: May undertake pilot projects or micro-studies focusing on ongoing activities of the Ministry
Programme aims to tap young talent for improved implementation of schemes and policy process engagement
Programme facilitates research and interaction on government initiatives
Intern contributions: Empirical analysis, reports, policy papers and briefs
Programme provides interaction with Ministry officials, other line Ministries and key stakeholders
Programme focus: Well-being and empowerment of women and children
Programme goal: Bridge information gaps on women and children issues in the country
