The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports announced that MY Bharat, the national youth engagement platform, has crossed the landmark milestone of 3 crore registered youth in less than three years of operation. This achievement represents significant expansion of India's largest youth engagement ecosystem, which provides opportunities for leadership development, experiential learning, volunteering, and nation-building activities.
Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 October 2023, the platform was established with the vision of creating a technology-enabled mechanism for youth participation in India's development journey toward Viksit Bharat @2047. The platform witnessed rapid growth, crossing 2 crore registrations in October 2025 and reaching 2.46 crore registered youth by August 2026 before achieving the 3 crore milestone.
As of August 2026, MY Bharat has facilitated significant engagement with over 1.22 lakh youth enrolling in nearly 25,000 Experiential Learning Programs that provide practical exposure beyond conventional classroom settings. The platform has introduced technological enhancements including an AI-enabled CV Builder to help youth create professional profiles and is being strengthened through improved digital services and wider grassroots access.
A key initiative is the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027, which began with the Viksit Bharat Quiz on 17 August 2026 (open until 30 September 2026) and features multiple progression pathways. Participants advance through Essay Challenge, District Championships, and State/UT-level stages before the National Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue in New Delhi from 10–12 January 2027. The program includes five additional tracks: Cultural Track, Design for Bharat, Hack for Social Cause, Youth Entrepreneurs Challenge, and Youth Parliament, providing platforms for showcasing cultural talent, creative thinking, technology solutions, entrepreneurial ideas, and parliamentary leadership. Selected participants will engage with policymakers and present ideas before the Prime Minister at the national level.
The platform hosts numerous youth-focused initiatives including Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat, Viksit Vibrant Village Programme, Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, Viksit Bharat Padyatra, Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect, and Khelo India Dialogue. The 100 Weeks Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan commenced with the Rashtriya Sankalp Samaroh in September 2026, featuring youth participation through pledge-taking, signature campaigns, creative activities, and discussions across the country.
