MY Bharat Digital Platform for Youth Empowerment

MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) is a digital platform launched in October 2023 under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, targeting India's youth population which constitutes nearly 65% of the country's population below the age of 35. The platform serves as a unified digital infrastructure connecting government, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and industry to create meaningful youth engagement opportunities aligned with the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision.

Platform Features and Digital Infrastructure

The platform leverages India's Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) under the Digital India initiative, offering end-to-end digital volunteer management including online registration, attendance tracking, geo-tagging, certificate generation, and impact measurement. The MY Bharat mobile application is available in 22 Indian languages and has recorded over 1 lakh downloads as of 02 July 2026. The platform is evolving into MY Bharat 2.0 with Artificial Intelligence (AI), multilingual technologies, open APIs, and digital credentials to expand youth participation, aiming to empower over 100 million youth through technology-driven governance.

Volunteer and Learning Opportunities

As of June 2026, the platform offers over 1.52 lakh volunteer opportunities across cleanliness, blood donation, sports, disaster response, and community service. For experiential learning, it provides over 24,900+ Experiential Learning Programs (ELP) as of July 2026, along with internships with public and private organizations, apprenticeships for workplace training, and industry exposure. The platform also features AI-powered resume builder tools, mentoring support, and multilingual digital quizzes on governance, Constitution, innovation, and public policy.

Major Initiatives and Participation Metrics

The platform has facilitated several large-scale initiatives including the 'MY Bharat MY Vote' campaign for first-time voters, and the National Youth Festival: Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 which witnessed participation of over 50.42 lakh youth. The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026 provided a national platform for youth deliberation on development ideas. The Youth for Viksit Bharat – MY Bharat Youth Convention 2026 brought together 6,000+ youth, while the Nari Shakti Youth Parliament engaged over 7,000 young women across 17 zones in policy discussions.

Recognition and Global Engagement

MY Bharat earned a Guinness World Record title on 04 June 2026 for the "Most Users to Take an Online Quiz in One Week" with 390,812 verified participants. The platform also enabled India's youth participation at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum 2026, providing young leaders with a platform to represent India's perspectives in global policy discussions. Additional initiatives include the MY Bharat Podcast Series launched on 21 March 2026, and the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme for border village experiences.

Community Engagement and Social Action

The platform supports the National Service Scheme (NSS) for volunteering participation and monitoring. During International Day of Yoga 2026, MY Bharat volunteers mobilized lakhs of youth through yoga sessions across educational institutions, community spaces, and iconic landmarks. Through the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign, youth volunteers support awareness drives, rehabilitation initiatives, and community outreach for a drug-free India. The platform also organizes nationwide Padyatras, cleanliness drives, and community service activities to strengthen civic participation and Jan Bhagidari.
