The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports has operationalized a Points, Rewards and Recognition (PRR) Mechanism on the MY Bharat Portal to recognize and encourage sustained youth participation in volunteering, experiential learning, and nation-building activities. Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya emphasized that "Yuva Shakti is the strength of Viksit Bharat" through this initiative that transforms participation into recognition, opportunity, and leadership.
The PRR mechanism establishes a structured, milestone-based system where youth accumulate points through engagement on the portal. At 1,000 points, participants receive a formal MY Bharat Letter of Recognition signed by the Director of MY Bharat Division. Achieving 2,500 points makes participants eligible for recognition through official MY Bharat social media handles, subject to consent for publication of name, photograph, and MY Bharat ID.
Youth reaching 5,000 points will be featured in a dedicated MY Bharat Digital Hall of Fame on the portal, showcasing their name, MY Bharat ID, photograph, and brief profile. The system may also include a facility for other users to send messages to achievers, subject to appropriate safeguards.
The reward structure progresses with tangible incentives: at 7,500 points, youth receive the hardbound book 'Modi@20'; at 10,000 points, a signed hardbound copy of 'The Golden Road: How Ancient India Transformed the World' by William Dalrymple signed by the Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports; and at 20,000 points, a signed hardbound copy of 'Treasures of India: From Antiquity to Modernity' by DK signed by the Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports.
The highest milestones provide opportunities for direct interaction with senior leadership. At 50,000 points, eligible youth can meet the Minister of State during the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue or other major youth engagement events. At the peak milestone of 100,000 points, achievers gain the opportunity to meet the Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports during VBYLD events. Both high-level recognitions will involve identification through the portal and verification by MY Bharat Headquarters, with felicitation ceremonies proposed to commence from October 2027.
The initiative aims to create a sustained culture of participation, service, and leadership among India's youth, reinforcing the vision of "Samarth Yuva, Viksit Bharat" by acknowledging individual contributions and creating opportunities for further engagement in community service and nation-building activities.
