The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs launched an upgraded version of the National Youth Parliament Scheme web portal (NYPS 2.0) on September 11, 2024, significantly expanding access beyond the previous limitation to students of recognized institutions. The new portal is now open to all educational institutions, groups, and citizens across India.
Since its launch through July 21, 2026, the portal has recorded substantial participation across three categories. Institutional participation accounted for 4,939 registrations with 1,611 events organized, involving 54,518 students. Group participation showed 732 registrations with 26 events organized, involving 982 citizens/students. Individual participation reached 48,291 citizens/students. The total combined participation across all categories reached 103,791 individuals.
The Ministry has implemented outreach measures to strengthen portal participation, including communications to all State Governments, Union Territory Administrations, State/UT Legislatures, and educational boards such as CBSE and CISCE. A publicity video tutorial is regularly broadcast on Sansad TV to promote awareness and usage.
Additionally, the Consultative Committee Management System (CCMS) portal (https://oams.nic.in/ccms/index.aspx) currently features 42 onboarded Consultative Committees for various Ministries, serving as an accessible document for parliamentary functions. The CCMS portal undergoes continuous digital upgrades based on stakeholder requirements.
