The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), a statutory organization under the Ministry of Cooperation, is implementing two fully funded schemes: Yuva Sahakar and Swayam Shakti Sahakar Scheme. The Yuva Sahakar Scheme aims to encourage newly formed cooperative societies with new and/or innovative ideas through project-based funding. The Swayam Shakti Sahakar Scheme facilitates access to affordable, cost-effective, and reliable financial services for the poor, including women Self Help Groups (SHGs), to undertake common/collective socio-economic activities that promote sustainable livelihood.
NCDC extends funding on a project basis and maintains operational oversight through its 19 Regional Offices and 9 sub-offices, which actively monitor scheme implementation and ensure access to timely credit flow to women cooperatives. Field visits and inspections are conducted periodically for proper monitoring of loan disbursement under the schemes.
Notably, the data reveals that no cooperative from the Hisar Lok Sabha constituency in Haryana has submitted any proposal to NCDC under either scheme. This information was formally disclosed by Union Minister for Home and Cooperation Shri Amit Shah in a written reply presented in the Lok Sabha on July 21, 2026.
