NITI Aayog has launched Special Campaign 6.0 as part of an ongoing initiative to institutionalize Swachhata (cleanliness) and minimize pendency across government offices. This campaign builds upon the success of previous iterations that began in 2021 under the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), with Special Campaign 5.0 having run from November 2025 to August 2026.

During Special Campaign 5.0, NITI Aayog and its attached offices achieved significant results: disposal of 4,105 Public Grievances, 127 PMO references, 34 Public Grievance Appeals, and 05 Parliamentary Assurances. The campaign also resulted in space optimization with approximately 90 square feet of space freed through file disposal and office space optimization. Additionally, revenue generation of ₹1,96,905 was realized through scrap disposal.

The new Special Campaign 6.0 will focus on liquidating pendency across multiple areas including MP's References, References from State Governments, Inter-Ministerial References, Parliamentary Assurances, PMO references, Public Grievances, and PG Appeals. The campaign will also emphasize weeding out redundant files and documents while improving overall office cleanliness with particular attention to space management and enhancing workplace experience in field offices.

The campaign represents a continuous effort to ensure timely and effective disposal of public grievances, references from Members of Parliament, State Governments, Inter-Ministerial Consultations, and Parliamentary Assurances by Ministries/Departments, contributing to improved administrative efficiency in government operations.
