Roadmap built around five pillars: Pioneering frontier R&D and design IP; Policy and Investment; Production focused on advanced packaging and compound semiconductors; People development; Partnerships with trusted nations and global industry
Specific goals include positioning India as a leading global destination for advanced packaging and OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test)
Targets emerging as a major supplier of wide-bandgap semiconductors
Aims to build leadership in compound semiconductor manufacturing
Plans to strengthen frontier design capabilities
Targets creating more than 100 advanced semiconductor design IPs
Roadmap reinforces priorities announced under India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 in Union Budget 2026
