The 21st Meeting of the Board of Directors of National Land Monetization Corporation Limited (NLMC) was held on 18 September 2026 to review the Corporation's ongoing asset monetisation programme, financial performance, and key institutional initiatives. A major highlight was the consideration and recommendation of monetisation proposals involving assets valued at over ₹5,000 crore, covering surplus land and building assets identified for monetisation. This represents a significant step towards advancing the Government's objective of unlocking the value of underutilised and surplus assets.

The Board reviewed NLMC's progress in facilitating monetisation of surplus assets of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and other Government entities. The Corporation has been working closely with asset-owning entities to identify suitable assets, undertake necessary due diligence, facilitate valuation, and structure appropriate monetisation processes with emphasis on transparency, efficiency and value realisation. Discussions focused on expediting the monetisation process, addressing implementation-related requirements, and ensuring identified assets move forward through appropriate and transparent mechanisms.

The Board approved the Annual Financial Statements and Directors' Report of NLMC for the financial year 2025-26. The meeting also reviewed NLMC's ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening its institutional and operational capabilities and creating a more structured framework for asset monetisation. The Board emphasised maintaining momentum and strengthening coordination with stakeholder entities to facilitate timely monetisation of surplus assets.

NLMC is a wholly owned Government of India company under the administrative control of the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), Ministry of Finance, established to undertake and facilitate monetisation of surplus land and building assets of CPSEs and other Government entities. The Corporation works with asset-owning entities to facilitate identification, assessment and monetisation of surplus assets through appropriate and transparent mechanisms, supporting the Government's broader asset monetisation objectives.
