Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal presided over the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Official Languages Wing of the Legislative Department on October 1, 2026. The event, held at Conference Room 24000/H in Kartavya Bhawan-2, New Delhi, marked the wing's 50th anniversary. During the ceremony, Minister Meghwal released a commemorative book titled "Rajbhasha Khand Ki Svarnim Yatra" (राजभाषा खंड की स्वर्णिम यात्रा), which documents the wing's five-decade journey, achievements, and significant milestones. The publication specifically highlights the wing's contributions to promoting and progressively using Hindi as the Official Language in the legislative domain, reflecting institutional efforts to facilitate Hindi usage in legislative work and strengthen the bilingual character of legislative drafting activities. Minister Meghwal congratulated Legislative Department Secretary Rajiv Mani and department officials for their five decades of dedicated service, particularly appreciating the Official Languages Wing's efforts in preserving linguistic heritage while ensuring precision, clarity, and consistency in both Hindi and English legislative work. The event also included the felicitation of retired officers from the Official Languages Wing who attended the ceremony.
