The Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for bulk drugs has attracted ₹4,814 crore in investment, exceeding the initial commitment of ₹4,330 crore.
The scheme has created a manufacturing capacity of 56,800 metric tonnes per annum for 28 critical APIs and intermediates, generating cumulative sales of ₹2,720 crore.
A separate Bulk Drug Parks scheme, with a ₹3,000 crore outlay, is establishing three parks in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh.
