He specifically noted the importance of education as a strong pillar of the relationship, citing the large community of Indian students in Australia and the growing number of Australian universities opening campuses in India.
The Prime Minister elaborated on India's rapid economic progress, driven by sustained high growth, policy reforms, digital revolution, and next-generation infrastructure development. He highlighted advancements in communication technology, semiconductors, smartphone manufacturing, and 'Make in India' defence exports. Modi stated that India's democratic strength combined with talent, technology, and innovation is creating new opportunities for global partners, with an approach focused on walking hand in hand with friends and partners rather than solely on domestic progress.
PM Modi called upon the Indian community in Australia to contribute ideas and expertise toward achieving the goal of building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047. The event was attended by members of the Indian diaspora from diverse fields including students, professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers, community leaders, and cultural organization representatives, reflecting the depth of people-to-people ties between the two countries.
