Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse incentives worth approximately ₹2,400 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) on June 19, 2026, at 5 PM at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. This disbursement marks a significant milestone for the Government of India's flagship employment-linked incentive scheme, which aims to accelerate job creation, promote formalization of employment, enhance employability, and expand social security coverage across sectors.

The PM-VBRY scheme, which came into effect on August 1, 2025, has already facilitated employment for 15 lakh beneficiaries across the country. The scheme is designed with a total outlay of ₹99,446 crore and aims to incentivize the creation of more than 3.5 crore jobs over a two-year period, including approximately 1.92 crore first-time entrants into the workforce.

The scheme provides dual incentives: first-time employees are eligible for an incentive of up to ₹15,000 to support their entry into the workforce, while employers generating additional employment are eligible for incentives of up to ₹3,000 per month per additional employee. Recognizing the strategic importance of manufacturing, employers in the manufacturing sector can receive incentives for four years, while employers in all other sectors can avail incentives for two years.

This initiative reflects the government's commitment to fostering an enabling ecosystem for employment-led growth and ensuring that economic benefits translate into quality formal employment opportunities for India's youth, advancing the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
