Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will undertake an official visit to Europe from June 13-19, 2026, covering France and Slovakia. The visit begins in France at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron, with a bilateral meeting scheduled in Nice on June 14 to review the India-France Special Global Strategic Partnership established earlier this year. Both leaders will jointly inaugurate the 'Bharat Innovates' event during the India-France Year of Innovation, bringing together top innovation startups and Venture Capital funds from India, France, and other countries.

From June 14-16, the Prime Minister will make a State Visit to Slovakia at the invitation of Prime Minister Robert Fico, marking the first-ever visit by an Indian Prime Minister since Slovakia's independence in 1993. The visit follows President Droupadi Murmu's State Visit to Slovakia in April 2025 and Slovak President Peter Pellegrini's visit to India for the AI Impact Summit in February 2026. PM Modi will hold talks with Prime Minister Fico and meet President Pellegrini to strengthen bilateral relations in trade, investment, and automobile and railway manufacturing.

From June 16-17, the Prime Minister will participate in the G7 Summit in Evian, France, where he will exchange views with G7 leaders and invited partner countries on forging new partnerships, rebuilding international solidarity, reviving balanced economic growth, and ensuring safe AI rollout. He will also hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders on the sidelines.

The final leg includes visits to Paris on June 18 for further bilateral engagements and attendance at the VivaTech Summit, Europe's largest technology and startup event. The Prime Minister is also expected to address the Indian community in Paris. The visit aims to deepen partnerships with France, Slovakia, and G7 nations, showcasing India as a global innovation hub and reinforcing its strategic partnership with the European Union.
