Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan and Gujarat on 4 July 2026 to inaugurate, dedicate, and lay foundation stones for development projects totaling approximately ₹1.06 lakh crore across multiple sectors including petrochemicals, urban transport, railways, roads, renewable energy, and power transmission.
Aviation Sector Developments
In Jodhpur, the Prime Minister will launch the Modified UDAN Scheme with an allocation of ₹28,840 crore over 10 years to accelerate aviation-led development. The scheme focuses on developing 100 aerodromes from existing unserved airstrips with an outlay of over ₹12,000 crore, creating 200 modern helipads for remote connectivity, and providing over ₹2,500 crore for Operations and Maintenance support to ensure regional airport viability. The scheme continues Viability Gap Funding support of over ₹10,000 crore for airlines and includes procurement of indigenous aircraft and helicopters such as HAL Dhruv and Dornier platforms. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the New Terminal Building at Jodhpur Airport, developed at a cost of ₹480 crore with a capacity to handle 20 lakh passengers annually across 23,000 sqm area, featuring energy-efficient systems targeting a 5-Star GRIHA rating.
Energy and Industrial Projects
In Balotra, the Prime Minister will dedicate India's first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex at Pachpadra, developed as a joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and the Government of Rajasthan. The 9 Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MMTPA) complex was established with an investment of over ₹79,450 crore and features 2.4 MMTPA petrochemical capacity with a Nelson Complexity Index of 17.0 and petrochemical yields exceeding 26%. The project will serve as an anchor industry for developing a Petrochemical and Plastic Park in the region.
Infrastructure and Transportation
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for Phase 2 of the Jaipur Metro Rail Project with a total cost of over ₹13,000 crore, comprising a 41-km north-south corridor from Prahladpura to Todi Mod with 36 stations connecting industrial and residential areas including Sitapura, Vishwakarma Industrial Area, Jaipur Airport, and SMS Hospital. He will dedicate the Churu–Sadulpur (58 km) and Churu–Ratangarh (46 km) rail doubling projects constructed at a cost of around ₹900 crore, spanning 104 km total length to enhance rail connectivity in northwest Rajasthan. The four-laning of NH-125A, Jodhpur Ring Road Section-2 (Karwar–Dangiyawas) will be inaugurated at a cost of about ₹740 crore.
Renewable Energy Projects
SJVN Limited's 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Energy Project developed with an investment of about ₹5,500 crore using 24.22 lakh domestically manufactured solar modules will be dedicated to the nation. NHPC's 300 MW Karnisar Bikaner Solar Energy Plant using about 7.75 lakh domestically manufactured solar PV cells and modules will also be inaugurated. The transmission line constructed at a cost of over ₹1,900 crore for power evacuation from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone will be inaugurated, and the foundation stone will be laid for the 530 km-long power transmission system for the Rajasthan REZ to facilitate renewable energy evacuation.
Employment Generation
The Prime Minister will hand over appointment letters to around 54,000 youth recruited across various departments of the Government of Rajasthan, including Education, Energy, Home, Panchayati Raj, Transport, Higher Education, Skill Development, Planning, Agriculture, Information Technology, and Administrative Reforms.
Semiconductor Manufacturing
In Sanand, Gujarat, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the CG Semi Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility developed with a total investment of over ₹7,500 crore under the India Semiconductor Mission. Once fully ramped up, the facility will have an annual production capacity of up to 5 billion semiconductor chips, offering end-to-end services including wafer sorting, assembly, testing, package design, failure analysis, test programme development, product characterization, and logistics support. The facility will cater to automotive, industrial, telecommunications, 5G, and Internet of Things sectors.
