Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the International Conference on 'The Future of Environment and Climate Dynamics' on September 19, 2026, at approximately 10 AM at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The two-day conference is being organized by the National Green Tribunal on September 19-20, 2026. The event will witness participation from environmental experts, Judges of the Supreme Court of India and High Courts, District Court Judges, Secretaries of various Ministries, senior government officials, and representatives from State Judicial Academies, State Legal Services Authorities, State Expert Appraisal Committees (SEACs), State Environment Impact Assessment Authorities (SEIAAs), and State Wetland Authorities. The conference will also bring together eminent Judges and judicial representatives from 17 countries. The platform aims to facilitate exchange of judicial approaches, scientific knowledge, environmental governance practices, and institutional experiences across jurisdictions. It will specifically address critical environmental and climate challenges, including gaps in policy formulation, implementation, and enforcement, while exploring ways to strengthen environmental governance and institutional cooperation.
