The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is organizing a nationwide "Khelo India Dialogue – Khel Ki Baat, PM Modi Ke Saath" on August 27, 2026, to celebrate National Sports Day. The event will be held across more than 1,500 educational institutions including IITs, IIMs, NITs, AIIMS, leading medical colleges, and universities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a virtual address to young budding athletes, followed by simultaneous physical programs at all participating locations.

The dialogue focuses on four key themes: strengthening the sports ecosystem and expanding grassroots facilities, coaching and opportunities; nurturing talent for the 2036 Olympics through scientific talent identification and athlete development; enhancing youth leadership and participation in governance; and empowering young people with future-ready skills, volunteering and nation-building opportunities. The program aims to create a direct platform for youth to share ideas and suggestions on India's sports and youth ecosystem.

Prominent sportspersons including Deepa Karmakar, Saina Nehwal, Gagan Narang, Sreejesh, Mary Kom, Baichung Bhutia, Gopichand, Anju Bobby George, Karnam Malleswari, Mirabai Chanu, P.T. Usha, along with prominent cricketers, will engage with youth and share their sporting journeys. The participation extends to Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assemblies, Union Ministers, Ministers of State, and State Sports Ministers who will engage with young people and seek their ideas on the identified themes. The initiative will also feature the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue Quiz and encourage registration on the MY Bharat Portal for sustained youth engagement beyond the one-day program.
