In the energy sector, PM Modi announced a target of 100 GW nuclear capacity by 2047 with 5 new reactors operational within 6-7 years, backed by mastery in Fast Breeder Nuclear Technology. The Samudra Manthan initiative worth Rs 85,000 crore aims to unlock new offshore energy reserves, with 99% of coastline transitioning from 'No-Go Areas' to 'Go Ahead Areas'. City Gas Distribution expanded from 70 to 700 cities, piped cooking gas reached 1.75 crore households, and solar capacity surged from 2 GW to 160 GW. The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana has crossed 50 lakh households, providing financial assistance of up to Rs 80,000 per family to reduce power bills to zero.

Technology and Innovation Focus

The Prime Minister announced training 1 crore youth in Artificial Intelligence skills within the coming year. Semiconductor manufacturing progress includes three domestic plants already operational and exporting chips, with 7-8 new production facilities to operationalize within 1-2 years. Saptdhara Development Strategy

The speech unveiled a seven-stream strategic framework: Manufacturing Power focusing on complete domestic value chains with zero-defect precision; Agriculture and Food Processing promoting chemical-free farming and integrated farm-to-export supply chains; Technology and Innovation across AI, quantum computing, space, and Made-in-India 6G; Gati Shakti for multimodal logistics infrastructure; Defence Shakti for strategic self-reliance and becoming a global defense technology supplier; Green and Blue Economy through Green Hydrogen, renewables, and ocean development; and Soft Power leveraging yoga, Ayurveda, tourism, and creative economy including VFX, animation, and gaming.

Social and Infrastructure Development

Educational infrastructure expanded from fewer than 350 universities to nearly 1,000 and medical colleges from fewer than 400 to around 850. The startup ecosystem grew to 2.5 lakh registered entities supported by Rs 1 lakh crore Research and Innovation Fund. The SVAMITVA property mapping scheme unlocked Rs 140 lakh crore in rural economic potential across 3.25 crore families using drones. Free Online Coaching was launched leveraging Digital Public Infrastructure to support competitive exam preparation.

Agricultural and Welfare Initiatives

The government has absorbed massive costs to provide internationally priced Rs 3,000 urea for less than Rs 300, and DAP costing over Rs 5,000 for just Rs 1,350, protecting farmers from global price shocks. Ayushman Bharat Yojana has extended free medical coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh to senior citizens above 70 years, saving poor and middle-class families an estimated Rs 2 lakh crore in medical bills. Social security coverage expanded from 25 crore to around 100 crore citizens post-2014.

Sports and Youth Development

India announced its bid to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games and strong candidacy for the 2036 Olympics. A Nationwide Sports Talent Hunt targets children aged 5 to 15 years across every village and school to identify and train future Olympic champions. The Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan launches a 100-week nationwide anti-drug campaign.

Security and Defense

Defence exports have surged more than 50 times to around 100 countries. The government announced creation of a modern, voluntary Civil Defense network to protect critical domestic infrastructure. Naxalism has been decisively dismantled, with over 3,500 security personnel sacrificed in the four-decade conflict.

The Prime Minister emphasized that achieving the Viksit Bharat vision requires focused attention on cost, quality, and scale across all sectors, with Indian products needing to exceed international parameters in quality and affordability to dominate global markets.
