Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the G7 Summit Outreach Session on "Reviving a Balanced, Shared and Sustainable Economic Growth for All" in Evian, France on June 18, 2026. He appreciated the summit's focus on shared and sustainable growth, noting that this message would be meaningfully received globally amid current uncertainties. The Prime Minister emphasized that growth should not be measured solely by GDP or trade numbers but by its real impact on inclusion and people's well-being.

PM Modi highlighted India's inclusive growth story based on the principles of "Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas" (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of All, and effort of All). He noted that this same approach guides India's international engagements, including its G20 presidency with the motto "One Earth, One Family, One Future" and the conceptualization of the India Middle East Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) designed to strengthen supply chains, create investment and employment opportunities, and foster innovation.

The Prime Minister addressed the impact of crises and conflicts on the Global South, calling for international solidarity to ameliorate their burdens. He suggested that international financial institutions should develop support mechanisms to impart economic resilience to developing countries. He proposed considering connectivity projects linking Africa, Latin America, and Pacific Island countries similar to IMEC.

To realize this vision, PM Modi proposed creating an International Mobilization Partnership for Accelerating Connectivity and Trade (IMPACT), which would combine G7's capital, India's talent, and Global South's ownership. He reaffirmed India's commitment to a stable, trusted, and prosperous world economy, noting that India's belief in integration, partnership, and shared progress has inspired it to pursue trade agreements with G7 members and several other countries.
