The state-wise breakdown shows significant variation in school coverage, with Uttar Pradesh having the highest number at 1,888 schools, followed by Andhra Pradesh (982), Madhya Pradesh (944), Maharashtra (946), and Bihar (904). Smaller states and UTs have fewer schools, with Chandigarh at 6, Lakshadweep at 13, and Puducherry at 18.
The data also provides detailed language-wise teacher appointments for non-Hindi native languages across these schools. Nationally, there are 6,102 Sanskrit teachers, 1,994 Urdu teachers, and 9,152 regional language teachers appointed under the scheme. State-level patterns show distinct linguistic distributions: Bihar leads in Sanskrit teachers (736) and Urdu teachers (691), while Telangana has the highest number of regional language teachers (1,666), followed by Karnataka (1,115) and Andhra Pradesh (2,142).
